- Air monitoring during asbestos removal work
- Clearance inspections for asbestos removal work
- Issuing clearance certificates
- Identifying the location, type and condition of asbestos or asbestos containing material (ACM)
- Assessing the risk resulting from any identified asbestos or ACM
- Advising how asbestos or ACM should be managed.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this licence you must:
- Provide sufficient identification
- Undertake an approved course in asbestos awareness or provide evidence you have already completed such a course.
You must also provide a declaration that states whether you have been convicted or found guilty of an offence in areas including:
- Work health and safety (WHS)
- Construction licensing
- Disposal of hazardous waste.
If you hold a current equivalent licence in another Australian State or Territory, you may be eligible to apply for this registration under mutual recognition arrangements.
