You will require this authorisation if you intend to be the stud master for a sire (male greyhound) and / or brood bitch (female greyhound) that you do not own. This authorisation allows for a temporary change in ownership for the purpose of breeding.
A stud master is a person who will be held responsible for supervising the mating activities of greyhounds. This includes the care, control and / or custody of the sire.
This authorisation acknowledges that you accept that the greyhound will remain in your custody and possession and that you take responsibility for the animal.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this authorisation you must:
- Submit an application in the approved form;
- Submit all supporting paperwork;
- Pay the required fees; and
- Be an approved Stud Master.
