You will need to comply with the code if you intend to implant an identifying microchip in a domestic animal. This code specifies the procedures and obligations to be followed when implanting a microchip including, qualifications, charges for services, operational procedures.

Micro-chipping is a procedure that requires the insertion of a microchip, approximately the size of a grain of rice, into the back of the neck of the dog or cat.
