You may require this licence if you intend to be involved in the artificial breeding of greyhounds. Artificial breeding consists of the use of techniques and procedures used to produce planned pregnancy of greyhounds.
All artificial breeding technicians must be licensed. This licence authorises you to carry out the techniques and procedures involved in artificial breeding. This licence is generally granted to a registered veterinary surgeon. If you are not a registered veterinary surgeon, you may apply to carry out all techniques and procedures of artificial breeding apart from those relating to embryo transfer.
All premises used as an artificial breeding station must also be licensed.
