Code of Practice for Driving Instructors - Australian Capital Territory

Service summary

You will be required to comply with this code if you are an accredited driving instructor in the ACT. The code sets out the minimum standards and operational guidelines for the conduct of accredited driving instructors. The code covers:

  • Punctuality towards student and auditor
  • Courtesy
  • Presentation of vehicle and instructor
  • Assessment of students
  • Auditing of accredited driving instructors;
  • Relations with clients
  • Relevant legislation
  • Offences
  • Vehicle requirements
  • Appeals.
