Flight Training Approval - Australian Government

Service summary

You are required to apply for this approval if you operate an organisation that provides flight training.

The types of flight training that are covered by this approval are:

  • Non-integrated;
  • Single pilot recreational pilot;
  • Private pilot;
  • Commercial pilot licences; and
  • Single pilot ratings.

You may require further approval to conduct specific types of training or certification including:

  • Low-level rating;
  • Low-level endorsement; and
  • Mustering endorsement.

If there are any other training activities that you propose to offer that are not covered under the above items then you will be required to hold an Air Operator's Certificate.
