Prescribed Radiation or Nuclear Installation Facility Licence - Australian Government

Description

You will need this licence if you are contracted by the Commonwealth to engage in conduct in relation to a nuclear installation or a prescribed radiation facility. This conduct may include:

  • constructing a facility
  • operating a facility for the purposes of nuclear installations, such as installing a nuclear reactor for research or production of nuclear materials for industrial or medical use
  • supervising contaminated legacy sites
  • the production, processing, use, storage, management or disposal of certain sources of controlled materials
  • the use of a particle accelerator
  • the use of an irradiator
  • other similar purposes.
