Providing Goods or Services Related to Weapons of Mass Destruction Programs - Australian Government

Description

Prior to undertaking a transaction that may involve goods or services which could be used in a Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Program, you must conduct research to ensure that the transaction won't contribute to such a program.

As a minimum, Defence Export Controls suggests that you:

  • assess the utility of your goods, services or technology
  • undertake checks on the parties to the transaction to determine possible links to such programs.

It is an offence to proceed with a transaction without a permit issued by the Minister for Defence.
