Wine Export Permit - Australian Government

Service summary

You will be required to apply for this permit if you intend to export wine or other grape products. These include products such as:

  • Sherry
  • Brandy
  • Port


  • Other grape spirits.

This permit is required for each consignment of wine leaving Australia that is in excess of 100 litres.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to receive this approval you must:

  • Provide all shipping details; and
  • Provide a list of products including their registration details and Continuing Approval Numbers.

A permit is required for each consignment to be shipped from Australia.
