You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to operate a launch facility. A launch facility is a place specifically designed or constructed to launch space objects.
This Flight Safety Code sets out the safety requirements which you must meet to obtain a licence to operate a launch facility (a space licence).
This includes safety standards that must be achieved in relation to flight paths and in respect of the risks posed to third parties by space launches and the methodology to be used to calculate the risk.
Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
Code of Practice
A code of practice can be either a legal requirement or non-legal requirement. Legal codes of practice are defined as a result of legislation. Non-legal codes of practice are defined by industry regulators and bodies.
