You will require this registration if you intend to operate a medical practice that provides radiation oncology services. Radiation oncology is the study and discipline of treating malignant disease like cancer with radiation. The treatment is referred to as radiotherapy or radiation therapy.

Eligibility requirements

You can apply for this registration if you are the proprietor of a radiation oncology premise. The proprietor of radiation oncology premises is the person or government agency who has effective control of:

  • The premises, whether or not the holder of an estate or interest in the premises;
  • The use of the radiation oncology equipment used at the premises; and
  • The employment of staff (including medical practitioners) connected with the premises.
