You will require this licence if you intend to undertake operations outside of an exploration, retention or mining licence area, such as a wharf or jetty.

Eligibility requirements

You must hold either an Offshore Minerals Exploration Licence, Offshore Minerals Retention Licence or Offshore Minerals Mining Licence.

Your application must:

  • Include details of the activities you propose to carry out; and
  • Be accompanied by a map that shows the proposed location of the activities.

Duration

As specified on the licence, but not exceeding 5 years. This licence may be renewed.
