Approval of a Meat and Meat Product Auditor - Australian Government

You will be required to apply for this approval if you intend to undertake audits on:

  • Operations that prepare meat or meat products for export as food from a registered establishment;
  • Operations that export meat or meat products as food from a registered establishment or by an exporter of meat or meat products; or
  • Operations that certify meat or meat products.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible to receive this approval, you must:

  • Provide proof that you have completed approved qualifications, required audit competencies and commodity experience;
  • Provide details of your experience relevant to the work of an auditor; and
  • Provide an outline for the procedures you will use in the conduct of audits.
