Open Day Permit - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this permit if you operate an approved club or approved shooting range and you intend to conduct an open day.

This permit also authorises open day participants who do not hold a licence or permit to possess and use firearms under the direct supervision of the permit holder, club official, range official or firearms safety training instructor.

Please be aware that this permit does not authorise the use of prohibited pistols or firearms or firearms registered to individual club members.

It is a condition of this permit that club or range officials keep a register of each open day participant's name, address, date of birth and photo identification. Details held in this register must be given to the Registry.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.
