Approval to Access the Companion Animals Register - New South Wales

Service summary

You will need to be authorised as an approved person if you intend to access the NSW Companion Animals Register for the purposes of reuniting cats and dogs with their owners. You may need to access this register is you are an approved companion animal identifier or work with companion animals.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval, you must be an employee or operator of an approved organisation. The following types of businesses and organisations are considered approved organisations:

  • Animal Welfare League NSW
  • Cat Protection Society of NSW
  • veterinary clinics
  • approved animal welfare organisations.
