Permit to Possess, Release or Sell Noxious Fish or Marine Vegetation - New South Wales

Service summary

You will need this permit if you intend to:

  • possess live fish or marine vegetation classified as noxious
  • release any noxious fish or marine vegetation into any body of water
  • sell any noxious fish or marine vegetation.

Some fish and marine vegetation are considered noxious only in particular waters. You will not need this permit if you intend to possess fish or marine life in waters in which they are not considered noxious, or to release fish or marine life into waters in which they are not considered noxious. However, you will need this permit to sell any noxious fish or marine life, even if it is only considered noxious in particular waters.
