Prohibited Weapons - Animal Management Permit - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to possess and use a blow gun or blow pipe for the purpose of managing animals. This permit is generally issued to veterinary practitioners or organisations that care for animals. This permit also authorises a person (for example, employee) listed on the permit to possess and use a blow gun or blow pipe for the same purpose.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

  • Be a veterinary practitioner, a student enrolled in a veterinary science course, or a person applying on behalf of an organisation with primarily responsibility for the management of animals;
  • Submit the application form and genuine reason form with the required documentation; and
  • Pay the required fee.
