Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Applicator Controller Licence - New South Wales

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) for the purpose of the aerial application of pesticides.

A pesticide is any substance or mixture of substances used to destroy or alter the life cycle of any pest. Pesticides are used in commercial, domestic and urban and rural environments and include bactericides, baits, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, lures, rodenticides and repellents.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • obtain an RPA certification from the relevant Commonwealth agency
  • have completed specified units of competency set out by the state agency.

You must also hold an RPA applicator business licence, or be engaged or employed by a holder of a licence.
