You need this authority to accept or make bets by telephone or on the internet. This authority will allow you to conduct betting over the telephone, the internet, subscription television or other online communications systems at a licensed racecourse. You may also apply for authorisation to undertake telephone or electronic betting at private premises not licensed as a racecourse.
Please note that a bet made or accepted by telephone or electronically is taken to have been made or accepted at the place where you (the bookmaker) are located when the bet is made or accepted.
