Laser Game Firearms Permit - New South Wales

Description

You will need this permit if you intend to possess and use firearms for laser games.

 

There are two types of permits:

 

  • Imitation Firearms Permit - authorises you to conduct laser games / laser skirmish activities using imitation firearms
  • Modified Firearms Permit - authorises you to conduct gaming activities involving a firearm which has been modified to emit laser or infra-red light beams.

This permit also authorises participants over 18 years old to possess and use the imitation or modified firearms under the supervision and control of the operator.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this permit you must:

 

  • submit the application form and legitimate reason form accompanied by all requested documentation
  • provide proof of identity (if no other NSW firearms licence or permit is held or has been held).

Please be aware that if you have never held a firearms licence or permit in NSW, or you do not currently hold an equivalent issued firearms licence or permit interstate, you may be required to complete a firearm safety training course.
