Service summary

You will require this authority if you intend to possess, manufacture, produce or supply prohibited drugs for the purposes of use in scientific research or analysis.

Prohibited drugs are listed in the Act, and include a variety of substances, such as cannabis, cocaine, heroin, ketamine, morphine and testosterone. This licence authorises the possession of these substances, the manufacture or production of these substances, the possession of equipment and materials for use in the process of manufacturing these substances, and the sale and distribution of these substances, in connection with authorised scientific activities.

This licence does not authorise you to possess, manufacture, produce or supply low-THC hemp.
