You will require this licence if you intend to undertake activities likely to cause harm or damage to threatened species, populations or ecological communities, or to their habitats. You will also require this licence if you intend to pick threatened species of plant.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • Submit the application form with any required information relevant to the activities being undertaken, such as details of the proposed land and the specified action to be undertaken; and
  • Pay the required fee.

In some cases you may also be required to submit a species impact statement with your application.
