Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this permit if you intend to carry out an activity that will potentially harm an Aboriginal object or a declared Aboriginal place that is on land reserved under the Act (e.g. excavation work). Gaining this permit will allow you to carry out your activity without incurring penalties. Please note that the permit may impose conditions on your proposed activities.

There are a number of circumstances in which you may not need to apply for a permit and you can carry out the activities with appropriate caution. For example, authorised emergency firefighting activities and bush fire hazard reduction works.
