Gaming Machine Dealer, Seller, Technician and / or Testing Facility Licence - New South Wales

Description

If you are involved in manufacturing, selling, servicing or testing of gaming machines, you must have an approved gaming related licence.

A Gaming Technician's Licence allows you to:

  • service, repair and maintain approved gaming machines
  • as an employee of the holder of a testing facility licence - to carry out the authorised functions of that licence.

A Gaming Machine Seller's Licence allows you to:

  • as an employee of the holder of a dealer's licence - negotiate on behalf of the employer for the sale of approved gaming machines
  • to sell, as principal or agent, approved gaming machines.

A Gaming Machine Dealer's Licence allows you to:

  • manufacture and assemble gaming machines in or on the premises specified on the licence
  • sell and negotiate the sale of approved gaming machines (whether or not manufactured or assembled by the licensee).

An approved gaming machine is any piece of equipment that is designed to be used for, or in connection with, the playing of a game of chance and / or skill that may result in the player being awarded with a prize (for example, poker machines).

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be considered fit and proper for the purposes of the licence
  • provide full disclosure of any other individuals that will have an interest in the business operating under this licence
  • not be a disqualified person as defined under the Act
  • ensure the premises are secure, suitable and used solely for the purposes of the licence
  • have the necessary training and qualifications
  • provide any required documentation.
