Utility Service Access Order - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this order to undertake work on a utility service or a proposed utility service but do not own the land on which it is located. A utility service is a sewerage, drainage, water, gas, electricity or telephone service.

This order will allow you to access the land for the purposes of carrying out work on or in connection with the utility service.

For the purposes of this order, works include but are not limited to:

  • construction, repair, maintenance, improvement, renewal or adjustment of the utility service
  • connecting or disconnecting the service
  • carrying out inspections to determine whether any work is required
  • making plans for works to be undertaken.

Please be aware that to obtain an order you need to go to your Local Court.
