Authority to Remove Exhibited Animals from Authorised Premises - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this authority if you are the holder of an animal display licence and you intend to move an animal outside of the registered animal display establishment where the animal is kept.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Exemptions

You may be exempt from this requirement approval if you intend to either:

  • take an animal to, or return it from, the premises of a veterinary practitioner, or keep it at those premises for the purposes of observation or treatment
  • transport an animal from one authorised premises to another
  • lawfully purchase, sell, or otherwise acquire or dispose of an animal.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this authority, you must:

  • complete and lodge an application form, accompanied by the application fee and all associated documents
  • be able to obtain authorisation at least seven days before you intend to remove the animal.
