Permit to Authorise Storage of Firearms in NSW - New South Wales

Service summary

If you live interstate and intend to store firearms in NSW on a permanent basis, you will require a permit. You must hold an interstate firearms licence or permit to be eligible.

The firearms you intend to store must be registered in the State or Territory of residence.

Because your firearms are registered outside of NSW, NSW Police do not have a record of details relating to identity locations, number and type of firearms and storage details. This is why this permit is required, so that details are recorded and safe keeping is ensured.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.
