You will need this licence if you intend to overhaul and repair an explosion-protected electrical plant for use at a coal mine. Every coal mine is required to have an electrical management plan. The plan must include provision for the overhaul and repair of an explosion-protected plant at a licensed facility.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for a licence you must ensure that your facilities are accredited or certified according to a recognised compliance assessment scheme.
