You may apply for this assessment if you intend to undertake an activity prohibited by a Chemical Control Order (CCO). This assessment may assist you in determining whether you are required to apply for a licence to undertake that activity.

Activities for which this assessment may be required include the manufacture, processing, distribution, conveyance, use, storage, sale or disposal of chemicals or chemical waste.

To apply for an assessment of an activity prohibited by a chemical control order, you must submit an application including:

  • Your name;
  • The name of the chemical to which the activity relates, unless it is a chemical waste of which the components vary or are difficult to specify; and
  • The manner in which you intend to carry out the activity to be assessed.
