Notification and Reporting Requirements for Casino Junkets - New South Wales

Description

If you are a casino operator and use junkets to promote your casino, you are required to notify the Authority regarding these activities. The Authority can require you to provide an advance report on all junkets being conducted in relation to your casino.

A casino junket includes situations where:

  • a promoter introduces a person or group of people to a casino and receives a commission based on a percentage of their gambling during a defined period
  • the promotion of a casino to a person or group of people (usually involving arrangements for the provision of transportation, accommodation, food, drink, entertainment, etc.).
