Heavy Vehicle Accreditation - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this accreditation if you intend to operate a heavy vehicle. There are four types of heavy vehicle accreditations:

  • Maintenance management accreditation: exempts your vehicle from the requirement to be inspected before renewal of registration;
  • Mass management accreditation: allows access to additional mass concessions;
  • Basic fatigue management (BFM) accreditation: allows the drivers of the vehicle to operate under BFM hours; and
  • Advanced fatigue management (AFM) accreditation: allows the drivers of the vehicle to operate under AFM hours.

Information on BFM and AFM hours are available from the Regulator.
