You will need this licence if you intend to purchase rice grown in New South Wales for use in the domestic market.

Please be aware that one company currently holds a licence that gives them the exclusive right to export rice from Australia. Therefore, this licence will not be granted unless the Board is satisfied that the rice purchased is intended exclusively for use in Australia.
