Breeder's Authority (Greyhound Racing) - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this authorisation if you intend to be the stud master for a sire (male greyhound) and / or brood bitch (female greyhound) that you do not own. This authorisation allows for a temporary change in ownership for the purpose of breeding.

A stud master is a person who will be held responsible for supervising the mating activities of greyhounds. This includes the care, control and / custody of the sire.

This authorisation acknowledges that you accept that the greyhound will remain in your custody and possession and that you take responsibility for the animal.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this authorisation you must:

  • Submit an application in the approved form;
  • Submit all supporting paperwork;
  • Pay the required fees; and
  • Be an approved Stud Master.
