High Risk Work Licence - Northern Territory

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to engage in any high risk work, including:

  • crane and hoist operation - tower crane, self-erecting tower crane, derrick crane, portal boom crane, bridge and gantry crane, vehicle loading crane, non-slewing crane and slewing crane
  • materials and personal hoist
  • forklift operations
  • boom-type elevating work platforms
  • scaffolding work
  • dogging and rigging work
  • work with pressure equipment
  • concrete placing boom work
  • reach stacker work.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

  • be 18 or older
  • reside in the Northern Territory
  • not hold an equivalent licence in another state or territory
  • complete the relevant training and provide a HRW Licence Assessment Report as evidence
  • be a suitable person to hold the licence.
