Process Server Licence - NT - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate as a process server. Process servers serve writs, summons or other legal processes on behalf of another person.

You can apply for this licence as an individual or as a corporation. All licensed agents must have an approved manager.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible, you must:

be a fit and proper person
be 18 or older
obtain a criminal history check
advertise your application.

If you are licensed in another state or territory, you may apply for mutual recognition.

Duration

Three or five years

Expiry

This licence will expire on the anniversary of the date it was issued.
