This licence is required in order to carry on business as a Business Agent.
A business agent acts as an agent in respect of:
(i) the sale, purchase, exchange, leasing or letting or other dealings with, or
(ii) negotiations for the sale, purchase, exchange, leasing, letting or other dealings with, or the disposition of,
a business or any share or interest in a business, or the goodwill in, or stock-in-trade of, a business.
Applicants may be an individual, company or firm. If the applicant is a company or firm then at least one individual must hold an equivalent licence.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
Applicants must be over 18, a fit and proper person, hold prescribed educational qualifications and be competent to carry on business on their own account, and will carry on business in the Territory.

619 Revenue Units per year.
If combination Real Estate/Business Agents Licence the fee is 715 Revenue Units for both.
In 2016/17 - 1 Revenue Unit is equivalent to $1.15.

New competency-based training course yet to be approved. Former qualification, Certificate IV in Real Estate accepted in interim.
