Development Fishery Licence - Northern Territory

Service summary

This licence enables the holder to trial new fishing gear and fishing methods and/or catch new target species. Applicants may be subject to a Bioprospecting Permit.

The applicant must complete a detailed fishing proposal on the type of operation to be undertaken, species to be caught and gear type to be utilised under the licence. Further advice can be obtained from the Development Permit Executive Officer.

Each permit is subject to performance criteria and is only valid for one licensing year.

$1,235 plus levy (2016-17).
