International Visitors Permit - Northern Territory

Service summary

This permit is available to allow an international visitor coming to the Territory to take part in national or international shooting competitions to use firearms for that purposes. These permits have mutual recognition and will be recognised in all States and Territories in Australia.
This permit is also available to allow an international visitor coming to the Territory to take part in safari hunting with an approved safari operator. There is no mutual recognition and applicants wishing to also take part in safari hunting interstate will be required to apply to the relevant State or Territory for a Temporary Permit.
