Why the Support is Provided?

This service is provided to increase personal and property safety awareness including for businesses.  This service encourages people to work together to contribute to reducing crime and the fear of crime within local communities.  This service has a focus on crime prevention and deterrence, and asset protection by businesses, communities and individuals

What Support is Provided?

The Queensland Police Service provides online Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) support through its state blog, internet site and Facebook page.  Support, training, NHW resources and materials are also provided to NHW groups to assist in the operation of the internationally recognised Neighbourhood Watch program.

Eligibility requirements

Any resident of Queensland over the age of 16 can become a NHWQ member or join a NHWQ group.
