This licence is required to carry out Type A gas work as described in the definition of terms.
A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
Definition of terms
- Gas fitter duties
installation, removal, alteration, repair, servicing and testing of pipework, containers, fittings and appliances in an installation supplied with gas and certifying compliance with these regulations with type "A" gas devices.
You must have successfully completed the required TAFE course as stated in the current version Queensland gas work licence and gas work authorisation requirements document.
This licence remains in effect for the term specified on the licence
Total for six-year licence. The total payable includes the Application Fee of $43.00 plus a Yearly Licence Fee of $28.60 for each year applied for.
Total for three-year licence. The total payable includes the Application Fee of $43.00 plus a Yearly Licence Fee of $28.60 for each year applied for.
You can obtain this licence by submitting a completed "Application for Gas Work Licence (form PGA728L) at your regional office. The application fee and licence fee must accompany the application. Fees are in line with CPI increases.

This licence cannot be transferred.
