Attracting international and interstate entrepreneurial talent to boost Queensland's startup ecosystem and broaden our global connections

  • Hot DesQ will provide an injection of startup talent to bring in new skills and experience, broaden our connections and open up access to global markets
  • Hot DesQ will be a competitive application process with international and interstate entrepreneurs vying to receive $50,000 - $100,000 in funding to relocate their ideas and business ventures to Queensland
  • The global Hot DesQ campaign is showcasing Queensland's successful and inspiring startup community, and profiling our industry strengths, as well as leverage our proximity to Asia Pacific

Eligibility requirements

Basic Overview:

  • A basic level of English both verbally and written is required.
  • Your nominated team member(s) will need to be prepared to work full-time on your startup in Queensland for the duration of the program.
  • You must be keen to be involved in Queensland's startup ecosystem, as funding will be provided in instalments based on your accrual of Network Points. You must currently reside outside of Queensland (although expats are welcome to apply) and cannot have an existing team member in Queensland.
