Regulated Parking Permit (Logan) - Queensland

Service summary

This permit is issued to enable you to use vehicles for commercial purposes in a regulated parking area within the council area. It enables you to stand in regulated parking areas while conducting business.

Strict rules also apply for heavy vehicle parking under council's Local Law no. 7 (Parking) 2003. Contact the Regulatory Services Branch for information on heavy vehicle parking.

Definition of terms

Commercial vehicle

in relation to stopping in a loading zone, means: any horse drawn vehicle constructed, fitted or equipped for the carriage of goods any motor vehicle (excluding any car or motorbike) constructed, fitted or equipped for the carriage of goods any motor vehicle constructed, fitted or equipped for the carriage of persons to which is affixed a form of identification as an approved commercial vehicle issued by a local government under a local law made under section 103(4); and conforming in all respects (whether as to design or otherwise) with the directions in relation thereto contained in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Regulated parking area

means: a traffic area; or a road or part of a road declared to be a regulated parking area pursuant to section 8 (regulated parking areas on roads) of this local law; or land (including structures on the land) defined as an off street regulated parking area pursuant to section 9 (off street regulated parking areas) of this local law.

Transferability

You cannot transfer this permit. If you sell the vehicle you are required to remove the commercial vehicle permit. If the new owner requires a commercial vehicle permit they must submit a separate application.

They (the new owner) can obtain this permit by completing a written application and submitting it with proof of ownership to council.

Application

Submit a completed Application/Renewal for Commercial Parking Permit and submit it to council.


Transfer details

You cannot transfer this permit. If you sell the vehicle you are required to remove the commercial vehicle permit. If the new owner requires a commercial vehicle permit they must submit a separate application.

They (the new owner) can obtain this permit by completing a written application and submitting it with proof of ownership to council.
