Service summary

You require this licence to operate accommodation premises.

Prior to submitting your application you should ensure the site has relevant Development Approval to prevent the application being delayed.

Plumbing approval may also be required for any new plumbing works carried out on site.

Building approval may also be required for any new building works carried out on site.

Contact the Water Business Branch of council to ascertain whether a permit to discharge trade waste to sewer is required.

Definition of terms

Accommodation premises

Residential accommodation other than accommodation which is a residential service under the Residential Services (Accreditation) Act 2002 -

in premises which is defined in the Logan Planning Scheme:

  • a hotel; or
  • an accommodation building; not being a convent, monastery or the like; or
  • a bed and breakfast; or
  • a group dwelling; or

in premises which are not subject to government funding programs and is defined in the Logan Planning Scheme as:

  • an institution; or
  • a retirement village.


Licence is for one year.
