Service summary

To ensure government, industry and the community have easy, informed, cost effective and equitable access to the Land and Spatial Information Groups information which include:

  • digital information (basedatasets, databases, CDROM products, web pages etc);
  • aerial photography and imagery

Access arrangements have been established that manage and respect ownership, liability, security, privacy and confidentiality considerations, by including licensing conditions for all distribution arrangements.  These licence agreements reflect the different uses of the products, publications and services;

  • Open agreement: permits use by the customer and/or customer's organization.  It also permits value-adding and distribution of value-added products and/or services to others.  It does not permit distribution of the original product, publication or service;
  • Distributor agreements:  permits an organisation to distribute unchanged products and publications to their customers.

No specific eligibility.  However all clients will be required to enter a licensing agreement with the department.
