Taxi and Limousine Business Advisory Services Grants - Queensland

Service summary

The Taxi and Limousine Business Advisory Services Grants Program (BAS Grant) provides Queensland taxi and limousine licence holders or operators with assistance to adapt to change. Eligible licence holders or operators can obtain funding to access professional advice and support to assist with the transition to the new regulatory framework.

The BAS Grant forms part of the Queensland Government's $100 million Industry Adjustment Assistance Package.

Eligibility requirements

  • hold a taxi or limousine licence on the date of application, or
  • be a taxi or limousine on the date of application, and
  • be a registered business, and
  • be a Queensland resident or a Queensland business, and
  • provide a quotation from a service provider for advice relating to transitioning to the new regulatory framework for personalised transport.

Only 1 application will be accepted from an individual licence holder or operator. Read the guidelines for further information.

Applications open 28 June 2017 and close 4pm 31 August 2017

Additional information

Funding of up to $5,000 (excluding GST) may be provided to eligible taxi and limousine licence holders and operators to access professional advice and support during the transitional period to the new framework. The advice must fall under 1 or more of the following areas:

  • business, operational and strategic planning
  • financial (including financial advocacy)
  • legal.

A single grant payment will be made directly to the service provider(s) on completion of the services and receipt of a correctly rendered tax invoice. The value of the grant payment will be increased to compensate for any GST.
