Workplace Fire Safety Training Delivered by Queensland Fire and Emergency Service - Queensland

Service summary

QFES-TEM is the workplace fire safety training unit of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES).  QFES offers comprehensive fire safety training for workplaces.  Whatever the size of your organisation, QFES can provide nationally accredited, specialist training programs for your organisation, preparing your premises and personnel for unexpected emergencies, and providing you and your workplace with the skills and knowledge to manage emergency situations efficiently.

QFES is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).  Training is delivered by fully qualified professional fire officers with nationally accredited training qualifications.  Training programs can be conducted at your premises with minimal disruption to your business or at one of the QFES specialised training facilities.

Listed below are the current programs available:

  • General Evacuation and First Response (as required by the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008)

  • Chief Warden and Warden

  • Evacuation signs

  • Evacuation exercise including debrief

  • Fire Safety Adviser

  • Working safely at Heights

  • Australasian Inter Service Incident Management system (AIIMS)

  • Breathing Apparatus

  • Confined Space Entry Training and Refreshers

  • Road Crash Rescue

  • Fire Team Training

  • Hazardous Materials Management

  • Vertical Rescue

  • Bushfire Management

  • Certificate III in Mines Emergency Response and Rescue.

Training programs can be conducted at your workplace, if suitable or at one of the QFES' purpose built training facilities located across Queensland.
