You will need this licence if you intend to establish and operate facilities for purposes associated with regulated petroleum and geothermal energy substances. These purposes include:
- searching for any regulated substance
- processing any regulated substance
- producing or generating energy from a source of geothermal energy
- other activities that may be relevant or incidental to searching for, processing, producing or storing any regulated substance or a product derived from a regulated substance.
A licence granted for these purposes will give you the right of access to and use of land to which the licence relates on certain terms and conditions.
