Individuals or partnerships who carry on business or advertise or hold themselves out as being entitled to carry on business as a plumbing contractor, gas fitting contractor or an electrical contractor need to hold an appropriate Contractor Licence.

Eligibility requirements

Contractors must hold an appropriate Worker Registration unless they operate in a partnership with a person who holds that Worker's Registration.

Applicants must have approved educational qualifications, be a fit and proper person, not have been suspended or disqualified from practising a trade, business or occupation and demonstrate sufficient financial resources.

In a partnership, all partners need to be individually licensed.
