Eligibility requirements

You are entitled to hold a licence if you: are 18 years of age or older; are a fit and proper person; have not been convicted of an indictable offence of dishonesty, or during the period of 10 years preceding the application, not been convicted of a summary offence of dishonesty; are not suspended or disqualified from practising a trade, occupation or business within Australia; are not an undischarged bankrupt or subject to a composition or deed or scheme of arrangement with or for the benefit of creditors; and have not within 5 years before the making of an application for a licence, been a director of a body corporate which has been wound up for the benefit of creditors - at the time the body corporate was being so wound up or within a period of 6 months preceding the commencement of the winding up.

In a partnership, all partners need to be individually licensed.
