Lodging House Licence - Northern Areas Council - South Australia

Description

You will need this licence to use all or part of a building as a lodging house. Lodging houses are accommodation that is let for the purpose of lodgings or board, and is occupied by five or more persons. Occupants may share facilities (such as toilets, bathrooms and kitchens) for individual use.

You will not need this approval for dwellings where the rent is shared or any building which is defined as a flat, motel, hotel, health care facility or premises licensed under legislation.

You must not add to or alter any lodging house, or use any part of the premises in any other matter contrary to its permitted use or the terms of the licence, without permission from your local council.
